Description
The Chat Rayé, or Pinstripe Cat, is the Kulza Family’s most popular cabaret. Each night the cabaret opens its doors to guests for dinner, drinks and live entertainment from the best dancers and musicians. The main hall is organized around a center stage with various levels of dining areas and bars surrounding it. It’s a popular place for under-the-counter deals in between acts, as long as they don’t go against the Family’s wishes. The noise might drown out private conversations for normal people, but the Kulza guards have a knack for picking out moles and rats. After hours performers may bring guests upstairs to one of the many lounges. Any business too confidential to exchange hands on the floor happens up here, amongst other things. Once a month they perform a full theatre performance that always draws a crowd. The musical changes each month but they typically stick to a playbook of 6-7 favorites, spicing things up around New Year’s.
The Police have tried to shut down Chat Rayé at least 6 times, but everytime they bust down the doors they find an abandoned, run down opera house despite dozens of testimonies of the lively cabaret.
